Labor Day Parade

On Monday, September 3rd, also known by many as Labor Day, Connecticut DeMolay marched in the annual Labor Day parade in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.  Twenty-four DeMolays from "The" Doric Chapter, New Haven Chapter, and the State Suite, along with the State Sweetheart lined up to represent Connecticut Demolay.  Following behind the Mason's very detailed rendition of Solomon's Temple, we all spread the good message of DeMolay to the residents of Sandy Hook through handily made pamphlets passed out by members of "The" Doric Chapter.  With our legs hurting, our arms numb, and our supply of pamphlets nearly depleted, we finally reached the end, climbed into our army transport and returned to Hiram Lodge #18 for hamburgers, hot dogs, and much needed water.  Overall, the parade was a resounding success in the sense that now the entire town of Sandy Hook knows our name.  A special thanks to the Hiram Lodge Masons for allowing us to use their building for the day.
